Quick pick: one simple site → Premium. A business site, or more than one site → Unlimited (best value, daily backups). An online store or a busy site → Cloud Startup. Skip Single unless you are sure you will only ever need one tiny site.

Prices and renewal rates

All four plans were on a "Sale Season" discount when we checked. The monthly figure assumes a 48-month term paid upfront.

The renewal row matters more than people think. Over eight years (one discounted term plus one renewal term), Unlimited works out to ₹9,552 + (₹649 × 48) = ₹40,704, assuming renewal prices stay the same. Premium works out to ₹6,672 + (₹449 × 48) = ₹28,224. That is a difference of about ₹130 a month for daily backups, NVMe storage, more resources and unlimited sites.

What the numbers mean in plain English

Storage: SSD vs NVMe

Both are fast solid-state storage. NVMe is a newer, faster interface. For a small brochure site you will not notice much difference; for WordPress sites with many plugins, a shop or a busy blog, NVMe helps pages build faster on the server. 20 GB is a lot for a typical small site; images and backups are what eat space.

RAM, CPU and PHP workers

These decide how many things your site can do at the same time. A PHP worker handles one uncached request at a time, so more workers means more visitors can, for example, search or check out simultaneously without waiting. A blog with mostly cached pages needs very little; a WooCommerce store needs much more.

Inodes

Every file and folder counts as one inode. WordPress with a few plugins uses tens of thousands; years of image uploads and backups add more. 400,000 on Premium is comfortable for one to three normal sites.

Backups

Weekly backups mean you could lose up to a week of changes if something breaks. For a site that takes orders, bookings or daily posts, that is too long. Daily backups are the single most practical reason to choose Unlimited over Premium.

Databases

Each WordPress site normally needs one database. Premium's 10 databases cover its 3-site limit with room to spare; Single's 2 can feel tight if you want a staging copy.

Plan-by-plan recommendations

Single: only for a one-page site

At ₹69/mo it is tempting, but you get one website, 10 GB and 1 GB RAM. If you later want a second site (say, a separate blog), you will have to upgrade. Good for testing an idea; not our pick for a business.

Premium: a solid starter for personal sites

Three websites and 20 GB SSD are enough for a blog, a portfolio and a side project. Weekly backups are the weak spot, so keep your own copies of important content.

Unlimited: best value for most small businesses

For ₹60/mo more than Premium in the first term, you get daily backups, NVMe storage, an extra CPU core, unlimited sites and unlimited mailboxes for the first year. If you run a shop, clinic, coaching class, consultancy or agency, this is the plan we would pick.

Cloud Startup: for stores and steady traffic

More RAM and CPU, 100 GB NVMe, on-demand backups and a dedicated IP. Choose it if you are launching a WooCommerce store with real order volume, or a content site that already has traffic. For a brand-new site with no visitors yet, it is usually more than you need.

Most readers pick Unlimited: ₹199/mo for 48 months, renews at ₹649/mo (checked 2 Nov 2026).Opens Hostinger's site in a new tab · we may earn a commission

Signs it is time to upgrade

  • You hit the website limit (1 on Single, 3 on Premium) and want another site.
  • Your dashboard warns about resource limits, or pages slow down at busy times even after caching.
  • Inode or storage usage passes about 80%. Clean up old backups and unused plugins first.
  • You start taking orders or bookings and cannot afford to lose a week of data: move from weekly to daily backups.

How to save money without cutting corners

  • Pick the longest term you are comfortable paying for. The discount applies to the whole first term, so a longer term delays the renewal price.
  • Do not add extras you do not need at checkout. Read every pre-ticked option before paying.
  • Use the included domain. Claim it from the dashboard instead of buying one separately. See our free domain guide.
  • Set a renewal reminder. A month before renewal, review whether you still need the same plan.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Hostinger Premium and Business?

On the Hostinger India pricing page we checked on 2 Nov 2026, the web hosting plans were Single, Premium, Unlimited and Cloud Startup. We did not see a plan called Business. If an older article compares Premium and Business, the closest current comparison is Premium vs Unlimited.

Is Hostinger Premium enough for WordPress?

Yes, for one to three ordinary WordPress sites such as a blog or brochure site. Premium lists 2 GB RAM, 1 CPU core, 20 GB SSD and weekly backups. If you run a shop or want daily backups, Unlimited is the safer choice.

Can I upgrade my Hostinger plan later?

Yes. Hostinger says you can upgrade your plan if your needs change. Starting smaller and upgrading later is reasonable, but compare the cost: the first-term discount on a bigger plan bought upfront is often better value than upgrading mid-term.

Why does the price per month change with the term?

Hostinger shows a monthly rate equal to the total upfront price divided by the number of months. The lowest monthly rates are for 48-month terms. Shorter terms cost more per month.

Which Hostinger plan includes a dedicated IP?

Among the plans compared here, Cloud Startup lists a dedicated IP address. The shared web hosting plans (Single, Premium and Unlimited) do not.

Do prices include GST?

Taxes may be added at checkout depending on your billing details. Check the final amount on the checkout page before paying.
